Ever wonder how some of the largest employers in Santa Barbara made it through the Recession? Learn techniques for keeping your business afloat during tough economic times, from two of the leading businessmen in Santa Barbara.

Ronald Werft, President and CEO of Cottage Health System, and Glenn Lucas, Executive Vice Chancellor of UCSB will outline and describe their respective tactics for weathering the recession. Enjoy lunch at the Canary Hotel, while learning how others have succeeded despite the worst downturn since the Great Depression.

About the Speakers

Glenn Lucas, Executive Vice Chancellor of UCSB, has been a member of the UCSB faculty since 1978. His responsibilities include: oversight for academic planning and programming, academic policy, and personnel process.

Ronald Werft is currently President and CEO, and has been with Cottage Health System since 1987. He has over 30 years experience in the hospital and health care industry, for which he received a master’s degree at the University of Minnesota.
